App Permissions and Policies

PERMISSIONS AND POLICIES

After download and installation, you will be required to agree to some OS permissions upon launch to experience the full apple features. Push notifications, geolocation, photo and file access, and others are required. In addition, you will need to accept the privacy policy and terms and conditions to continue using the Foursure® app. 

You must tap to select and affirm the permission, followed by an OS popup to complete the particular setting (location only when app is open, etc). For policies, you must tap to agree, or long-press to view them in detail. 

With respect to the permissions, each has a purpose and function with the app as follows:

FILE/PHOTO access is required to select content to share, Without it, you cannot share any content beyond typed or pasted materials, text or links. 

GEOLOCATION is required to authenticate against geofence controlled shares. If your geolocation access is denied, then you will not appear in a given location (i.e. invisible)  when accessing the shares and you will be denied access if the author requires it. 

BIOMETRIC is required for all BIO authentication factors as both author or recipient. If disabled, you will not be able to pass authentication and gain access to shares, if the author sets this requirement.

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS are required to get incoming request/response messages from peers who send and control share sand authors who require/give permission or denial. If you disable Notifications, you will not be able to use the app as an author or recipient in realtime, and just go to the CONTROL pane to find and respond to  your pending notifications within the app only.

All of the above permission are required to use the FourSure® app. You must agree to these to continue with installation and registration. If you unset them later in the OS settings area for your phone, those related app functions will no longer work until you re-enable in the OS.
