How long do my shares last? Is this cloud storage?

Shares last for up to 30 days. If timer factors are set, the shares may expire more quickly according to the expiration policy set by the author. Foursure® is not cloud storage, but an interactive way to secure and control versions of what you store and share online with others.

Foursure® is designed to control the act of sharing and consumption, not persist content eternally. We recommend you always keep your original files securely unshared, and only use Foursure® to control when you share them with peers. After 30 days the shares will expire and users will be DENIED access. Share authors can share them again, or create new ones, but not re-use the original links.

Upon expiration, the content, encryption and data are deleted and no users can ever access them again. Your shares may reset due to security or system needs, as the main goal is preventing unauthorized access to your content, not eternally persisting your content in the cloud.
