FourSure® assists in sharing slightly larger files by adding its own compression. The ratios are generally 10:1 though may be greater for certain media types. This means that despite the 10MB final file size limitation, the original source material may be up to 100 to 300 MB. FourSure® supports up to one (1) minute of video and multiple minutes of audio.
When selecting content through the photo/video browser, the compression is applied based on original file size and the user is alerted if the resultant file is still too large.
When selecting through the file browser, such as dropbox or iCloud, the file selected remains untouched and uncompressed, shared in its original form and therefore must be under 10MB in size.
Using the file browser is best for documents, zip files, third party source files (like Adobe or Microsoft). Using the media browser (videos/photos) is best for multimedia where compression may be desired.
