Blocking and Banning Users
Subscribers have the additional control to block or ban individual users from single shares or all of their shares. Subscribers can swipe to block or ban users in the control history/mapping, or in real-time within access request notifications.
The effect of blocking a user is to deny them access to a single share or content. Subscribed authors can unblock a user form a share within controls, thus allowing them to access content. However, block/unblocking does not remove the additional security tests like location, time or biometrics, if set, to allow content access.
The effect of banning a user is global per author, essentially blocking the user from ALL shares an author has created in the past or future. This is for stopping annoying recipients or hackers to try to repeatedly access shares or someone the author no longer wants to have access to anything. Banning is global, and must be unset in the account area within the list of banned users.
In either case, the user is DENIED access from the share (block) or all shares (banned).
Management
Subscribers can manage their blocked users from the COMMAND center by swiping on a user and unblocking them from a particular share.
Subscribers can manage their banned users from the ACCOUNT screen by choosing BANNED USERS and swiping to clear or remove that status from a user.
