To manage monetization, the account tab has a special monetization button that brings up the subscribing author's monetization overview history, current and pending payouts, and a revenue-by-share table. To access, simply tap Account and then Monetization.
OVERVIEW
The default overview pane shows the contemporary monetization PENDING (current) and TOTAL (paid out) for a given author account. The window highlights both the revenue and the numerical monetized share totals. Revenue will be percentage of the monetized share totals. The CURRENT (pending) values will increment with each purchased share, in near real-time, with each server or page refresh. TOTALS will increment (and CURRENT decrement) with each monthly payout in arrears. For payout rates, see here. Revenue must pass a minimum of $100 to be paid out, or will rollover to the next period until that threshold is met.
SHARES
The shares tab highlights the top selling monetized shares, ranked by value, from greatest to least and updates in near real-time with each user share access purchase. This tab makes no differentiation between current (pending) or total (paid out) shares.
PAYOUTS
Payouts is the history table of remitted payments to authors per closed, captured and remitted payouts in the past. Each new payout will garner a new entry/line in the payouts tab, subsequently increasing the overview tab totals and decreasing the pending (owed) amounts by these figures. Payouts are listed in date order and offer the date of payout, the period the payout pertains and the total in USD remitted. In addition, PayPal will issue an email to the author at the valid PayPal account address, alerting that payout has occurred.
In addition to these tabs, the subscribing author may also click the PENCIL icon to edit or update their designated PayPal account handle email address. These changes take affect in real-time and will be where the author is paid each month, if eligible. See terms and conditions on maintaining and securing your valid PayPal handle and account.
