In the share create/edit section you can also add a custom thumbnail, like cover art or splash screen to accompany the share as it is transmitted, purchased and consumed. Custom Thumbs override the default scrambled share thumbnail derived the content itself, and will present in the clear (viewable) by all users who have or have not authenticated or purchased the share.
Custom thumbs can be used to promote or explain he content, or be used for content that does not have visual representation (like an audio file or zip file). In addition, they may be used when the default thumb is not explanatory or desired, like a designed thumbnail for a video or the company logo for a document. You can use a custom thumb for a single share or to represent an entire multi-file share playlist.
To create a custom thumbnail, tap the thumbnail icon on the share create/edit page. Navigate to the file desired on your mobile device or cloud storage, and select. Tap clear and then tap again to re-edit it. Click save to apply. As with all controls, changes to the default thumb can be made in real time for existing shares.
The custom thumb will now show up in the share link (posted in messaging, social media, etc) and in the preview window while the user is authenticating, purchasing or awaiting permission. Once the are permitted to access, the real content appears.
