Now you can share photo galleries, music albums and more.
One of the most exciting new features in FourSure is the addition of multi-file shares, or playlists. Now you can select more than one file, song, photo or document to include in a single share as a gallery, full album or collection of files or documents. Video and text shares are still single-file or item per, but we now support up to 5 mins of video in a single share.
Multi-File Shares
In the first release, authors were limited to a single file per share, be it a photo, MP3, movie, document or text. Now, creators can select up to 10 (ten) files per share, in a gallery or playlist format. In addition, they can choose a title for the share as well as a custom thumbnail or cover art. Now, authors can secure, control and monetize several items in a single share, such as a full music album, photo gallery or collection of documents.
The multi-file create interface lets authors select from cloud or local phone storage, photos or video apps or existing content to fill the playlist. However, only one file type per playlist is allowed. You cannot mix photos, music and videos, for example. Authors can swipe and edit these contents and then apply share-wide security factors, controls and pricing to the entire share.
To consume a multi-file share or playlist, the users simply tap the link as they do now and FourSure® will present the entire gallery of content. Users can either swipe over to navigate the playlist, or tap the share ID to bring up a menu of all playlist items to jump to their favorite file.
Multi-file shares are denoted with dots to signify the plurality of contents. In addition, the file names, types, and sizes or overall size or time-length of the multi-file share is also specified. Playlists can contain photos, music, files, text, links and documents, but not videos. Videos are limited to one per share.
Once created and shared, authors cannot edit or remove file content from the playlist, but they can modify the security, control and monetization settings in realtime, or delete and revoke access to the playlist for one or all users.
Music Playlists
One unique kind of multi-file share is the music playlist. This new share type allows creators to secure, control, monetize and share an entire album of music with a single link. Authors can select their music from local or cloud storage, add an album or cover art thumbnail, add a custom caption (liner notes) and a title, and set album-wide access rules like timed releases, geographic availability, max copies or pricing.
Music playlists operate like one would expect, where users can play the music in sequence or navigate around the tracks within the share. However, they cannot mix and match tracks from several shares in this current release (coming soon).
Summary
When used with custom thumbs, captions, multi-pricing and control factors, multi-file playlists make a powerful way to secure, control and monetize your content, whether shared with friends or fans around the world.
